1. VICTORIAN VILLA (beginners)  - cost $50

This makes a small quilt, ideal as a lap quilt or for children.  Wonderful as a gift if you're a more experienced quilter, but perfect for a beginner of any age.  Fully illustrated with many photos so you can see exactly what to do.  This class is based on using a cutting mat and rotary cutter, plus a sewing machine.  Instructions are included for sandwiching, quilting and binding the quilt.  Finished size is 54" by 42", but can be altered to suit.  5 classes over 5 weeks.

Supply List :- for sample quilt size

For centre squares - either 35cm of 1 fabric, or 3 fat quarters of 3 co-ordinating fabrics

For triangles and corner squares - 1 metre of calico or light coloured fabric

For rectanges and border - 1.75 metres of main fabric

Batting - 1.75 metres

Backing and binding fabric - 2 metres

Cutting board and rotary cutter

Quilting ruler

Sewing machine with quarter inch foot (preferred)

2. JELLY ROLL MYSTERY QUILT (intermediate) - cost $30

Bought a jelly roll, but don't know what to do with it?  This double bed or large throw sized quilt is 63" by 70", and is specially designed for a jelly roll pack.  Will look great in any jelly roll fabric combination!  3 classes over 3 weeks.

Supply List :

1 jelly roll (or 39 strips 2 1/2 inches wide)

1 metre light fabric for block backgrounds

0.75 metre dark fabric for inner border

1.25 metres medium fabric for outer border - make sure all these fabrics will co-ordinate with your jelly roll colour scheme

0.75 metre fabric for binding

4 metres backing fabric

batting to fit

spray starch

3. TAURUS (beginners with experience to intermediate) - cost $50. 

Taurus is 55" square without borders, so can easily be made into a full queen-sized quilt with the addition of 1 or 2 borders.   It's not always easy to find quilt patterns suitable for men, but Taurus was designed especially for this purpose.  It looks much harder than it is, and can be made in a variety of plain and patterned fabrics.  The pattern uses templates and easy raw-edge applique to achieve stunning results.  Original design.  5 classes over 5 weeks.

Supply List:

24 fat quarters - choose a mix of plain and patterned fabrics

Additional co-ordinating fabric for borders if desired

1.8m fusible webbing such as Vliesofix

3m backing fabric

50cm dark fabric for binding

batting slightly larger than the quilt's finished size

Cutting board and rotary cutter

4. MONET"S HEXAGONS (intermediate) -cost $40

This is a wallhanging, approximately 80cm across.  The sample quilt is made from soft hand-dyed fabrics reflecting the colours of flowers in Monet's garden. Not your ordinary wallhanging!  Original design, featuring hexagonal blocks, corner setting triangles,and applique (template supplied).  4 classes over 4 weeks.

Supply List:

14  3" strips across the width of the fabric for hexagons.  Select toning fabrics in light/medium or light/dark values

2  5 1/2" strips across the width of the fabric for the setting triangles.  Use a different fabric for these

1 metre batting

1 metre backing fabric

scrap yellow fabric for sun

small quantity of fusible webbing for applique

60 degree triangular ruler, or straight edge ruler with 60 degree marking lines
